Description:
The Sr. Network/Systems Administrator will assist in the management and support of the organization’s business critical systems and services. This position will report to executive management in on going management of existing technology as well as recommendations on deployment of new technology.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Development automation for routine administrative and production tasks to streamline the process and save time.
- Manage and deploy security policies to ensure the safety of sensitive data.
- Ability to research and deploy new policies and procedures based on changing business conditions.
- Ability to self-manage and handle multiple priorities, while continuing to perform the day to day duties.
- Experience with managing multiple Windows operating systems and software, including Windows 7, Windows 10 as well as Office 19 and Office 16.
- Administer, support and maintain all in house server technologies. Including VMware, Citrix XenDesktop, Server 2012 R2, Server 2019.
- Experience with SAN environments is a must.
- Experience with various back up and replication solutions of virtual environments is a must.
- Provide support to help desk personnel for elevated issues.
- Experience with administration of Epicor ERP and SRSS report writing is a highly favorable skill and will be weighted heavily if this person possess this skill. But not required.
- While primarily a Monday through Friday, normal business hours position. This position will require the individual to work around business needs to ensure little to no down time to day to day operations. Ability to work nights and weekends as needed to support is a must.
- Complete management of Active Directory, Group Policy and ensuring proper organization of each.
- Monitoring server and application throughput to ensure proper performance across all systems.
- Troubleshoot any and all networking and communication issues. This includes, WAN/LAN technologies, DHCP, Internal/External DNS and VPN.
- Create and maintain system documentation. Including system topology, critical passwords, procedures, and etc. This also includes the creation of how to documents for support.
Education and Experience Required:
- 4-year college degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of systems administration and support of large Windows Server environments.
- Minimum 3-year experience general experience in information technology.
- Strong technical background in Exchange and Microsoft Office product suite.
- Strong technical background in SQL Administration
- Experience in scripting and automation via group policy or similar technology.
- Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, including Layer 3 Switching.
Other Requirements:
- Requires less than 10% Travel.
- Requires after hours and weekend work in order to respond to emergency events and perform maintenance.
